Mothers Day is a special time to remember Mom. All kinds of cards and gifts will be presented.  Whether it is a store-bought card that sings or a created masterpiece of art, Mom will be all smiles and proudly display it for all to see.

I was reading John’s account of the crucifixion and noticed that some of the last recorded words of Jesus were spoken to his mother.

Jesus saw his mother and the disciple he loved standing near her. He said to his mother, “Woman, here is your son.” Then to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that moment the disciple accepted her as his own mother.  (John 19:26-27, MSG)

Jesus made sure to take care of the one who had taken care of him-His Mother.

That is a great truth to remember this month!
